JUST ONE MORE ASYM Wiki Vocalist Survivor Guide
Buff your team through rhythm — Inspired cooldown speed, move speed, and damage reduction done safely.
Vocalist is a 555 Points Support / Generalist Survivor in JUST ONE MORE ASYM built around team buffs through a rhythm minigame. Pull out the guitar, hit notes on beat, and nearby allies gain Inspired — increased cooldown speed, move speed, and reduced damage taken. Place a Speaker to extend range, and use Rupture for area stagger and slowness when hunters dive your stack.
In Standard 4v16 matches, Vocalist is the backline engine for Sentinel groups. You do not win duels — you win when Knight, Brawler, or Shielder converts your buffs into eliminations. Vocalist is B tier on the Tier List — excellent in coordinated lobbies, fragile in silent pub queues.
Abilities overview
Play
Start a rhythm minigame after a short setup. Notes arrive from left and right — LMB for blue, RMB for red. After 5 seconds of uninterrupted playing, allies in range gain Inspired. Missing a note interrupts the buff for 3.5 seconds; five misses cancels the song and puts Play on cooldown.
Finishing a full song grants self-heal and a 20-second global Inspired window — one of the strongest team swings in the roster when timed before Adversary dives.
Speaker
Place a 40 HP speaker that replicates Play effects in its radius. Speakers are priority targets for Adversaries — hide them in edge cover on Green Garden or interior angles on District.
Rupture
Quick riff applying Stagger and Slowness II in a forward cone — 8 damage, uncounterable. Use to peel divers off healers or interrupt setup during Last Man Standing.
Why unlock Vocalist
- Best team-wide buff ceiling outside expensive Hemomancer.
- Synergizes with B-tier aggression — Brawler, Sheriff, Knight.
- Teaches positioning — you must stay alive to keep buffs online.
- Strong in Assisted Rebellion organized counterplay lobbies.
Skip if: your lobby never groups, you main healer (buy Doctor first), or you want solo carry (buy Knight).
Playstyle pillars
- Never duel Adversaries unless isolated far from team or in LMS — you have almost no combat kit.
- Speaker before song on contested maps — extend range without standing in center.
- Finish songs when safe — global Inspired wins mid-round before Berserk.
- Call buff windows — “Inspired up” beats silent guitar.
- Break song early if Aberrant commits — living Support beats dead perfectionist.
Team pairings
| Partner | Why |
|---|---|
| Knight | M1 frontline converts speed + cooldown buffs |
| Brawler | Aggression spikes during Inspired |
| Shielder | Peel lets you finish songs |
| Doctor | Double backline — do not stack without frontline |
Matchups to respect
- Firework / Chaser — dive Vocalist first; Adversaries know you are priority.
- Spotter — marks your Speaker; rotate placement.
- Seeker Pounce — open ground while playing is death. See How to Beat Seeker.

What does Inspired do?
Inspired increases cooldown speed, move speed, and reduces damage taken for allies in range — stronger when you finish a full song.
Is Vocalist good solo?
