Archfactors Guide

Archfactors are extremely powerful AI-controlled bosses that appear during Death Sentence special rounds in JUST ONE MORE ASYM. Unlike regular Aberrants (Seeker, Guilt, Lord), Archfactors are the apex threats of JOMA — entities that emerge when the Overflow’s pressure peaks. They activate Berserk alongside any remaining Adversaries, making the final stretch of a Death Sentence round the hardest content in the current alpha build. Understanding Archfactor abilities and how to disrupt their patterns is the difference between winning and feeding.

Community encyclopedias list four Archfactors: Deathwatch (live), Adephagia (leaked, planned), Calamity (planned), and Starterminal (planned). Only Deathwatch has been observed in live builds as of August 2026 — the other three names were discovered through Base64 strings in the game’s achievements tab. Apprentice serves as Deathwatch’s weaker player-controlled Adversary counterpart, just as Chaser mirrors Seeker and Sin mirrors Guilt.

How Archfactors appear

  • Archfactors trigger during Death Sentence rounds, which activate roughly every 15 Standard rounds.
  • When an Archfactor appears, the Aberrant also enters Berserk mode simultaneously.
  • All players receive attribute boosts during Death Sentence — Archfactors benefit from this too.
  • Survivors must coordinate to survive the enhanced threat; scattering is fatal.

Deathwatch — live Archfactor

Deathwatch is the only publicly observed Archfactor in live JOMA builds. Community footage and encyclopedia notes describe Deathwatch as an aggressive boss with heavy area-denial and enhanced mobility.

Community-reported Deathwatch behavior

  • Deathwatch has high mobility with area-denial bursts.
  • Flashbang effects are reported to significantly slow Deathwatch’s summoned allies.
  • Apprentice’s summoning kit mirrors Deathwatch’s behavior on the player side.
  • Spawns with a distinct audio and visual cue — listen for the sound change before the round starts.

Survival tips vs Deathwatch

  1. Stay grouped — Deathwatch punishes isolation harder than regular Aberrants.
  2. Assign a dedicated caller — voice callouts for Deathwatch position reduce panic.
  3. Kill summoned allies fast — flashbangs and AoE abilities limit their impact.
  4. Save burst for Berserk — do not blow cooldowns before the Aberrant enters Berserk.
  5. Shielder and Knight front-line — absorb Deathwatch pressure so backliners can deal.

Adephagia — upcoming Archfactor

Adephagia was leaked through Base64 strings in JOMA’s achievements tab (QWRlaGhhZ2lh decoded). The name suggests a consumption or gluttony theme, consistent with the Overflow’s corrupting nature. Adephagia is referenced in Vestige unlock content (Adephagia Adept achievement), hinting at a progression path tied to this Archfactor.

Community discussion suggests Adephagia may be related to the Adephagia Update — an upcoming named drop mentioned in the Updates hub as one of the two confirmed future updates. Treat all Adephagia details as unverified-in-build until officially released.

Calamity — upcoming Archfactor

Calamity’s name was discovered through the same Base64 achievement string (Q2FsYW1pdHk=). The name implies disaster-scale consequences for Survivors. No kit details, abilities, or gameplay footage have been publicly observed. Community encyclopedias list Calamity as a planned future Archfactor, not yet released.

Starterminal — upcoming Archfactor

Starterminal was the third name decoded from the achievement Base64 strings (U3RhcnRlcm1pbmFs). Like Calamity, no gameplay details are available. Starterminal’s name suggests a technological or spatial theme, potentially connecting to JOMA’s Robloxia lore and the Telamon references in the Lore hub.

Archfactor and Berserk interaction

When an Aberrant is the last Adversary-side unit, it enters Berserk mode — amplifying its kit to maximum threat. Archfactors and Berserk stack, meaning a Death Sentence round where the Aberrant enters Berserk is the highest-difficulty scenario in JOMA.

Survivor checklist when Archfactor + Berserk overlap:

  1. Do not panic-commit — wait for Archfactor attack patterns before using abilities.
  2. Protect healers — Doctor and Hemomancer are priority targets.
  3. Use terrain — map obstacles are your best defense against area-denial.
  4. Call positions — voice callouts prevent bunching.
  5. Accept losses — a clean retreat is better than a wiped team.

Archfactor and Apprentice relationship

Apprentice is the player-controlled Adversary counterpart to Deathwatch. Like Spotter mirrors Beholder, Chaser mirrors Seeker, and Sin mirrors Guilt, Apprentice reflects Deathwatch’s summoning and control kit at the player level. Playing Apprentice teaches you how Deathwatch behaves from the hunter side — use this to predict Deathwatch patterns in Death Sentence rounds.

See the Apprentice Guide for full kit details.

Future Archfactor notes

According to developers, while there are a large number of named Archfactors planned, it is unlikely all will be developed due to the sheer scope. The three currently confirmed through achievement strings are Adephagia, Calamity, and Starterminal. We will update this guide as each Archfactor ships in live builds.
