Chaser & Sin Adversary Guide

Chaser and Sin are the two 2,000 Points Adversaries that mirror JUST ONE MORE ASYM’s live Aberrant pair. Chaser is the weakened Seeker counterpart — a relentless rushdown with high speed and stamina. Sin is the weakened Guilt counterpart — the tankiest player hunter, built for ambushes, area control, and long trades. Together they define how player hunters amplify AI pressure in Standard 4v16 matches.

This guide covers how to play with and against both kits, how they synergize with Seeker/Guilt Aberrants, and how they compare to tempo picks like Firework and utility picks like Chronos. Survivors should cross-read How to Beat Guilt and How to Beat Aberrants.

Why these two matter

Every live Aberrant has a weaker Adversary version — Seeker maps to Chaser, Guilt maps to Sin. When the AI rolls Guilt and a player runs Sin, Survivors face stacked Boulder/Landslide/Charge patterns from two sources. When Seeker spawns with Chaser, linear movement gets punished twice.

Community spawn notes describe roughly 50/50 Seeker/Guilt Aberrant odds during testing, with June 7–8, 2026 AI tuning on both sides. Hunter mains who unlock Chaser or Sin should read Updates after each Aberrant patch.

Chaser (2,000 P) — Seeker’s counterpart

Category: Rushdown / Damager

Chaser copies Seeker’s kit at reduced power: Slash, Pounce, Scream, and Seek. The fantasy is constant pressure on isolated Survivors — high speed, large stamina pool, and debuff support for teammates.

Chaser kit highlights

AbilityRole
Slash18 damage melee — multihit potential
PounceGap-close with stagger + bleed on hit
ScreamVulnerable II debuff in moderate range
SeekHighlights nearest Survivor for the whole lobby

Instability passive: stuns and staggers last 50% longer on Chaser, and damage taken drains stamina at 1.5× the damage value. Status effects drain stamina at ¼ rate. Chaser wins long chases but loses sloppy trades — experienced Survivors punish endlag hard.

Playing as Chaser

  • Pick off isolates — avoid diving full sixteen-stacks without Aberrant backup.
  • Scream before commits or from off-angles — Vulnerable II sets up Seeker and teammate burst.
  • Pounce across gaps on maps like Cloud Nine for surprise cutoffs.
  • Regenerate stamina during Scream windup when you are nearly empty.
  • Pair with Seeker Aberrant for double chase — you cut routes while the AI closes.

Playing against Chaser

  • Punish Instability — even 20-damage hits shred Chaser’s stamina bar.
  • DoT tools (Firefighter Flare, Flamethrower) cripple stamina recovery.
  • Do not chase vanity kills while Seeker runs past your backline.
  • Stack damage when Chaser whiffs Pounce — the window is brief but lethal.

Chaser sits in A tier on the Tier List — high damage rushdown that pairs well with Seeker Aberrants.

Sin (2,000 P) — Guilt’s counterpart

Category: Tank / Ambusher

Sin is the tankiest Adversary — commonly listed around 1,000 HP — with Guilt-themed tools: Swing, Landslide, Boulder, and Charge. Mobility is weak; threat comes from momentum, ragdoll chains, and surviving focus fire.

Sin kit highlights

AbilityRole
Swing30 damage melee with slow windup
LandslideLine eruption — uncounterable, can pass walls
BoulderLong windup projectile with splash ragdoll
ChargeHyperarmor rush — crowd control and gap close

Sin’s Landslide received a May–June 2026 rework aligned with Guilt’s wall-bypass behavior. Use Landslide as a mid-range punisher or cutoff, not a direct chase tool on fresh stamina.

Playing as Sin

  • Ambush distracted targets — every ability has long windup.
  • Boulder from off-angles — splash near walls when direct hits fail.
  • Charge for LMS closes — five seconds of speed closes bridges on Cloud Nine.
  • Feint Swing/Landslide against counter-heavy Survivors — turn with Shiftlock during windup.
  • Pair with Guilt Aberrant — you block loops while Guilt lands Landslide or Charge.

Full Survivor counterplay for the AI side: How to Beat Guilt.

Playing against Sin

  • Manage stamina and distance — Sin cannot catch healthy Survivors without Charge or Boulder reads.
  • Move erratically during windups — juke Boulder and Charge aim.
  • Counters work — feint your counter if Sin feints Swing.
  • Stall tools (Jester, Firefighter) stack on Sin’s already slow speed.
  • Treat Sin like Guilt at player scale — same splash, LOS, and Charge audio tells.

Aberrant synergy

AberrantBest Adversary partnerWhy
SeekerChaserDouble chase — cutoffs + AI gap-close
GuiltSinDouble commit — loop breaks + wall Landslide
EitherSpotter / HunterIntel and traps funnel into Aberrant lanes

Your job is not to out-DPS the Aberrant. Force Survivors into the AI’s preferred range, stall peel tanks, and eliminate supports while Guilt or Seeker commits.

Hunters should study How to Beat Aberrants to learn what good Survivor counterplay looks like — then break it.

Chaser & Sin vs Firework & Chronos

Firework (1,000 P) is the fastest Adversary — glass-cannon hit-and-run. Firework wins short bursts and disengages; Chaser wins extended chases if Survivors run out of stamina. Firework pairs better with chaos comps; Chaser pairs better with Seeker Aberrant tempo.

Chronos (1,111 P) is the Hexer / Zoner — slows and weakens Survivors before kills. Chronos sets up any frontliner; Chaser and Sin benefit from Chronos debuffs but do not require them. Chronos is lower DPS, higher utility — pick Chronos when your team lacks control; pick Chaser/Sin when the Aberrant already supplies pressure.

Unlock order and value

Both cost 2,000 P — mid-late hunter investments. Free Spotter teaches intel first; budget Dullahan or Executioner teach commit timing before you spend on Aberrant mirrors.

Suggested path:

  1. Spotter (free) — map awareness.
  2. One B-tier damage pick from the Tier List.
  3. Chaser or Sin based on whether you prefer Seeker or Guilt Aberrant lobbies.
  4. Pair with Adversaries hub roster knowledge before buying Apprentice (3,000 P).

Team comps

Chaser + Chronos + Seeker Aberrant — debuff, chase, and AI bleed pressure. Sin + Hunter + Guilt Aberrant — traps and cutoffs into Landslide/Charge. Chaser + Sin (same team) — rare but oppressive when Survivors lack coordinated peel — split Sentinels or lose backline.
