JUST ONE MORE ASYM Wiki Vestige Adversary Guide
The Outsider hunter — Strike stacks, true damage Severance, and Archfactor Adephagia unlock pressure.
Vestige is a high-skill Adversary in JUST ONE MORE ASYM — also known as Outsider (nickname) and listed as Visage on some encyclopedia pages. Community lore frames Vestige as an external force that does not belong in the hunt roster — a distinct fantasy from mind-controlled kits like Spotter or Sin.
Unlock path is special: the Pet Project achievement tracks defeating Archfactor Adephagia (shown in-game under an encoded name) during Death Sentence style pressure, then unlocking Vestige in the shop. Treat availability as verify-in-build — alpha shops and achievements flip often.
This guide covers Vestige’s kit — Breathless, Carve, Impalement, Burrow (WIP), and Severance Strike stacks — plus Survivor counters and map habits. Pair with Adversaries Hub and Upcoming Roster for WIP hunters.
Names and identity
| Name | Context |
|---|---|
| Vestige | Current primary wiki name |
| Outsider | Long-running nickname; older showcases and achievements still say Outsider |
| Visage | Alternate encyclopedia page title for the same kit family |
When watching older clips titled Outsider, assume Vestige kit — the official FourSquare showcase embedded mid-page uses both labels.
Abilities overview
Breathless (passive)
Your stamina cannot fall below -40. That floor changes chase math: Vestige can push Severance deeper than kits that hard-fail at empty bars, but overcommit still loses to organized peel. Review Stamina Management from the Survivor side so you know when Breathless stops mattering.
Carve
Forward blade slash with a minor lunge for about 20 damage. Baseline trade tool — gap closer lite, not Firework Trailblaze. Use after Spotter marks or when Strike stacks need finishing.
Impalement
Summon a spike from your palm, then recast to throw it. On hit: about 35 damage plus Bleeding I (~10 seconds). You can still cast other abilities while the spike is out — Impalement sets up Severance, it does not replace it.
Burrow (WIP)
Work-in-progress: burrow, burst out at range, optional airborne dive. Numbers and stamina costs are TBA — verify in your live build before theorycrafting Burrow combos.
Severance
After windup, charge forward while burning stamina until you hit a wall or Survivor. Landing applies 8 true damage (bypasses some resist/dodge) and a Strike stack visible on the target. Strike multiplies follow-up Severance damage (8 → 16 → 32 → 64…):
| Strike stacks | Effect |
|---|---|
| 0 | Severance cooldown removed briefly; re-cast within ~3s gets quartered windup |
| 1 | Stagger |
| 2 | Ragdoll ~2s + knockback |
| 3 | Ragdoll ~3s + heavy knockback + heal ~40 HP |
| 4+ | Amplified versions of the above |
Achievement chatter (SWOON) references landing Severance on a target with at least 4 Strike stacks — currently often unobtainable in public builds; still a useful practice goal.
Why play Vestige
- Unique true-damage charge fantasy among Adversaries.
- Achievement + Archfactor unlock loop teaches Death Sentence discipline.
- Strong follow-up after Spotter marks and Chronos slows.
- Lore-heavy pick for players bored of autopilot rushdown.
Skip if: Adephagia unlock is not live in your build, or you need a cheap beginner hunter (Dullahan ~400 P).
Playstyle pillars
- Stack Strike before greed — raw Severance without stacks is setup, not a win condition.
- Impalement first, Severance second — bleed + true damage chains.
- Respect Breathless limits — -40 floor is not infinite stamina.
- Pair intel — Spotter marks make Carve/Severance routes safer.
- Call stack count — “Strike 2 on healer” beats silent charging.
Team combos
- Vestige + Spotter — marks enable Impalement lead-ins.
- Vestige + Chronos — slows make Severance connect.
- Vestige + Guilt — Strike ragdolls set Boulder splash.
- Vestige + Seeker — AI Pounce during stagger windows.
Survivor counters
- Shielder peel — blocks charge lanes.
- Knight trades — punish windup greed.
- Grouped stacks — Severance into 16-man ball dies.
- Doctor sustain — bleed alone rarely finishes without stacks.
Map habits
| Map | Vestige tip |
|---|---|
| District | Long street Severance commits after Impalement |
| Double Runes | Pillar jukes punish raw charges — wait for marks |
| Green Garden | Edge paths; center charges feed Sniper |
| Cloud Nine | Bridge Severance into laser hazards |
Unlock: Archfactor Adephagia
Defeating Adephagia (encyclopedia lists worm-like, gluttony-themed Archfactor) awards the Vestige shop unlock in achievement notes. Adephagia ability details remain TBA — practice Death Sentence fundamentals first: caller clarity, stamina reserves, do not hero-chase. See Upcoming Roster and Gamemodes.
Common mistakes
- Spamming Severance at zero Strike stacks into full peel.
- Ignoring Impalement setup.
- Assuming Burrow is finished when still WIP.
- Buying Vestige before Spotter/Dullahan macro.
Practice plan
- Two matches focusing only on applying two Strike stacks before finishing.
- One match Impalement → Severance chain on marked targets.
- One Death Sentence attempt toward Adephagia if live.
- Review How to Beat Aberrants peel habits so you know what Survivors will do to you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about JOMA.
Is Vestige the same as Outsider or Visage?
Yes — Vestige is the current primary name; Outsider is the nickname and older showcase label; Visage appears as an alternate encyclopedia title for the same kit family.
How do you unlock Vestige?
Achievement notes say defeat Archfactor Adephagia (Pet Project), then unlock Vestige in the shop. Verify in your live build — alpha unlocks change.
What does Breathless do?
Breathless prevents stamina from falling below -40, letting Vestige push charges further than kits that hard-stop at empty bars.
How do Strike stacks work?
Each Severance hit adds Strike. Follow-up Severance damage doubles per stack (8→16→32→64…) and unlocks stagger, ragdoll, knockback, and self-heal thresholds.
Is Burrow finished?
Burrow is listed as WIP with TBA numbers — check your live build before relying on it.
Best beginner Adversary instead?
Start with Spotter (free) then Dullahan (~400 P). Vestige rewards players who already understand intel, peel, and Death Sentence.
