JUST ONE MORE ASYM Wiki Noob Survivor Guide
Master the free Generalist kit — chase extension, Guilt synergy, and the only Survivor with a matching Aberrant.
Noob is the free starting Survivor in JUST ONE MORE ASYM and the character every new player should grind first. At 0 Points, the kit teaches the three loops that define JOMA matches: create distance, interrupt enemy actions, and recover from mistakes. Noob is tagged Generalist / Opportunist — versatile enough for learning maps, stamina, and team fights without spending currency on a paid unlock you are not ready to practice yet.
What makes Noob unique in the roster is lore and mechanics overlap with Guilt, the tanky Aberrant. Noob is the only Survivor with a corresponding Aberrant, which shows up in special Last Man Standing moments and a passive that increases ability damage against Guilt specifically. That does not make Noob a Guilt killer solo — Guilt still absorbs knockback and health — but it makes Noob the correct pick when you want to chip the AI while your team focuses player Adversaries.
Abilities overview
Push
Move forward and shove targets, dealing 20 damage and applying heavy stall. Community changelogs note a wider hitbox and stronger knockback after January 2026 tuning. Push is your primary peel tool: catch Adversaries off-angle while they chase supports, or shove rushdown kits away from Doctor. Push also deals 90 damage to Guilt specifically — triple the normal value — so coordinated teams use Noob to soften the Aberrant before a burst window.
Tip: Hide behind cover and push when the hunter commits past you. One well-timed Push saves more rounds than spamming Rock Throw from open ground.
Rock Throw
Pick up a rock, then throw it 125 studs for 35 damage, stagger, and moderate knockback. Against Guilt, Rock Throw deals 105 damage. Use it to interrupt long windups — Spotter Deathmark, Anarchist setups, and other telegraphed abilities — from a safe distance. In narrow corridors, Rock Throw becomes a free stagger if the Adversary cannot sidestep.
July 2026 balance notes: stagger may not apply when three or more Noobs are present in the match. In pub lobbies with duplicate free picks, coordinate who throws rocks so you do not waste the interrupt window.
Sandwich
Consume a sandwich for 25 HP and 30 stamina recovery at the cost of slower movement during the animation. Heal value drops by 5 per active Noob in the lobby, minimum 10 HP. Sandwich is your mistake button — use it when you broke line of sight and need to re-enter the fight with stamina, not as a mid-chase panic heal in open ground.
Why stay on Noob longer than you think
Beginners rush to buy Knight or Doctor because the tier list ranks Noob D tier. That ranking compares end-game value, not learning value. Noob remains the best teacher for:
- Stamina Management — walk-first habits before Guest’s 10/10 rework fantasy.
- Map flow on District and Double Runes — Push teaches edge awareness.
- Guilt matchups — read How to Beat Guilt while practicing the passive damage window.
- Team peel without ego — Push stall helps supports without pretending you are Shielder.
Suggested unlock path: Noob until mid-match survival is consistent → Doctor or Shielder → Guest or Knight depending on role preference. See the Tier List for meta context, not as a reason to skip fundamentals.
Playstyle pillars
- Extend chases, do not win them alone — Push and Rock Throw buy time for your team.
- Interrupt, then reposition — stagger is worthless if you stand still afterward.
- Sandwich behind cover — healing in sightlines feeds Firework and Seeker.
- Respect hard counters — Sin, Executioner, and Guilt ignore much of your knockback; running is often correct.
- Call Guilt focus — your passive damage helps only when teammates commit during the chip window.
Matchups
| Threat | Noob response |
|---|---|
| Seeker Aberrant | Break vision; Push is not a marathon tool. See Beat Aberrants. |
| Guilt Aberrant | Chip with Push/Rock; do not duel in melee range. Special LMS theme when alone vs Guilt. |
| Chaser / Firework | Push early before they touch supports; avoid linear sprints. |
| Sin / Executioner | Run — knockback resistance makes your kit weak. |
| Spotter | Rock Throw interrupts Deathmark from range. |
Power of Five and roster drift
The Power of Five playtest wave (Jul 2026) adds WIP Survivors like Chemist and Commander on community trackers. Noob stays the stable free pick across builds. If your lobby lacks a character wiki pages mention, assume alpha drift — verify in-game before arguing loadouts.
Common mistakes
- Rock Throw spam without pickup discipline in early game.
- Sandwich in the open while Adversaries close distance.
- Chasing low HP hunters while Seeker runs past toward Doctor.
- Ignoring edge risk — Push can save teammates or accidentally help Adversaries if you stand too close to ledges on Cloud Nine.
- Buying Knight before you can survive on Noob — Knight rewards M1 fundamentals Noob does not teach.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about JOMA.
Is Noob good in JOMA?
Noob is D tier for end-game meta but S tier for learning. Every player should master Noob before expensive unlocks — Push peel and Rock Throw interrupts transfer to every Survivor.
Why does Noob deal extra damage to Guilt?
Noob has a passive that amplifies ability damage against Guilt specifically — Push and Rock Throw hit much harder on the Aberrant, helping teams chip the tanky AI.
Should I buy another Survivor before mastering Noob?
Only if you already survive mid-match consistently. Doctor (~400 P) and Shielder (~450 P) are the usual first buys after Noob fundamentals stick.
Does Noob have a special Last Man Standing?
Yes — Noob is the only Survivor with a unique LMS theme and dialogue against Guilt, reflecting the Survivor–Aberrant lore link.
